Albert Hood

Albert “Jake” Hood, 70, of Independence, Kentucky passed away in his home on January 12, 2019.  Jake was born on October 22, 1948 to the late Myron and Alberta Hood.  On August 26, 1972 Jake married Sherry Ishmael, and she survives.  Jake enjoyed playing golf, working in the yard and going to the gambling boats.  He also enjoyed vacations, having traveled to all 50 states.

Along with his parents, Jake was preceded in death by his brothers Donald Hood and Robin Hood; his sister Letitia Lehnart and his brother in law Bernie Bosse.

Jake is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Sherry Hood; his children Lynn (Jonathan) Dedman and Matt (Kristie) Hood; grandchildren Rylee Hood, Nathan Dedman and Brendan Dedman; brothers David Hood, Greg Hood, Steve (Sharon) Hood and Paul Hood; sisters Doretta (Larry) Lampe, Juanita Hood, Barbara Kohler, Jeanette Bosse and Pauline (Butch) Farmer; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Memorial contributions can be made in Jake’s name to the Grace Baptist Church, 5228 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
