Dolores Stewart, 81, of Burlington, Kentucky passed away on February 2, 2019 at St Elizabeth Hospice, Edgewood. She was born on January 20, 1938 to the late Ralph and Emma Abrams. On August 21, 1954 she married the love of her life Raymond Stewart and he preceded her in death in 2016. Dolores was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother whose greatest joy came from spending time with her family. She was an amazing woman who helped her husband build their family home, loved children all her life, especially babies and was an outstanding softball player. She also collected angels, was an avid bowler and enjoyed dancing. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Dolores is survived by her children Raymond Stewart, Deborah Belmont, Jennifer Ellis, Michael (Kim) Stewart, Julie (Tony) Jackson and Angelique (Roy) Shouse; brothers Lawrence (Maureen) Abrams and Michael Abrams; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with her husband and parents, Dolores was preceded in death by her brothers William Abrams, Kenneth Abrams and Richard Abrams; sisters Mae Gers, Joyce Beckridge and Mary Ann Ruebusch.
Because of the loving care she received, the family has asked in lieu of flowers contributions be made to St Elizabeth Hospice.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at Immaculate Heart of Mary at 12 pm. Entombment will take place in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. Floral Hills Funeral Home is proud to serve the family.
