Donald Kampsen

Donald Kampsen, 78, of Independence, Kentucky passed away on November 23, 2018.  He was born on July 24, 1940 to the late Aloysius and Rosella Kampsen.  On July 14, 1962 Donald married Judy Heideman, and she preceded him in death.  Donald retired form Liebel Flarsheim where he worked as a manufacturing supervisor. He was one of the founding partners of Monte Casino Civic Club and past president of JU-BEE-DEE Social Club.  Donald was an avid fisherman, enjoying yearly fishing trips with his son and many friends to Kentucky Lake.

Along with his parents and wife of 54 years, Donald is preceded in death by his son Kenneth Kampsen.

Donald is survived by sons David (Julia) Kampsen, Mark (Michelle) Kampsen; daughter in law Teresa Kampsen Flannery; grandchildren Jason (Kelly) Kampsen, Joshua (Michelle) Kampsen, Christopher Schneider, Allyson (Alex) Keegan, Elizabeth Schneider, Cassaundra (Daniel) Pumphrey, Christopher Kampsen, Nathaniel Kampsen, Nicholas Kampsen; great granchildren Margo, Elsie, Riley; as well as many extended family and friends.

Memorial contributions can be made in Donald’s memory to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

A visitation will be held at St. Cecilia Roman Catholic Church, 5313 Madison Pike, Independence, Kentucky 41051 on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 from 10am until Mass of Christian Burial at 12 pm.
