Jo Clifton

Jo Hannah Clifton (nee Black), 77, of Covington, Kentucky passed away on October 30, 2018 at St. Elizabeth, Ft. Thomas.  She was born at home on December 30, 1940 in Bracken county to the late Leo and Dorothy Black.  On October 25, 1963 she married Marvin H. Clifton.

Jo Hannah was a loving mother and a doting grandmother who enjoyed sewing, crafts, bowling, cooking and candy making.  She was a passionate hair stylist who brought beauty, friendship and laughter to her community for over forty years.

Along with her parents, Jo Hannah was preceded in death by her son Clayton Allen Clifton; brothers Charles Allen Black and Everett Johnson “Johnny” Black.

Jo Hannah is survived by her husband of 55 years, Marvin H. Clifton; her son Marvin L. Clifton; granddaughters Heather Rucker and Britney Henson; great granddaughters Mia Rucker, Charlee Rucker and Luna Henson; sister Beverly Dayton; nieces and nephews Kim Lowery, Angela Dean, Kaylee Dean,Terri Berry, Patty Black, Amber Tolle, Ashley Black, Johnny Black, Jr., Jami Goode and Billy Black.

We will miss her big heart, her sweet spirit and the sparkle in her blue eyes.
