Virginia Mardis

Virginia Mardis, 72, of Walton, Kentucky passed away in her home on December 14, 2018.  She was born on March 8, 1946 to Beulah Trinkler Mefford.  She married George Mardis and he preceded her in death.  She later married Earl Mardis and he too preceded her in death.  Virginia enjoyed fishing, crafting, playing games and Farmville.  She was also a member of the Boone Lake Club.

Along with her mother and husbands, Virginia is preceded in death by her daughter Melody Nienaber, granddaughter Amanda Cheeks and sister Billy J. Houston.

Virginia is survived by her children Terry (Sheila) Mardis, Jeff (Tammy Rule) Mardis, Wendy (Eddie) Ward; grandchildren Bobbi Nienaber, Robby Nienaber, Sarah Beetz, Alicia Mardis, Samantha Burchett, Ashley Mardis, Mikayla Mardis, Joseph Mardis, Cody Mardis, Edward Ward, Autumn Ward; great grandchildren Jazlyn, Braydyn, Noah, Taylynn, Harmony, Mira, and Aryana; brothers Harry Mefford and James Mefford; sisters Anna Mefford and Juanita Mardis; as well as  numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.

A Celebration of Life will be held on March 8, 2019.  Floral Hills Funeral Home is assisting the family.
