ELSMERE - Charles Edward Philpot Sr., 66, died Monday, Jan. 22, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Edgewood.
He was a maintenance worker, head of the union and a union steward for Formica Corp. and a Vietnam War Army veteran.
His son, Gregory Allen Philpot, died previously.
He is survived by his wife, Wilma Flynn; son, Charles "Chuck" Philpot Jr.; daughter, Sheila Lott; sisters, Darlene Cole and Rosetta Wilson; brother, Kenneth Young; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, and service will be 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 25, at Stith Funeral Home, Florence. Burial will be in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Taylor Mill.
