David Alan Barrow

David Alan Barrow, of Covington, KY has sadly passed away after a brief illness on Thursday, May 9, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood, KY one day after celebrating his 74^th birthday.

He was born in Covington, KY on May 8, 1950, the son of the late Herbert and Mary Barrow. David attended Holy Cross High School and worked nearly 40 years as a machinist and safety coordinator for General Electric. Away from work, David passion was being part of the Flying Cardinals of Northern Kentucky, a radio control flying airplane club, where he would often compete in shows and displays of skill. David was also a social butterfly and never met a stranger. He was the type of person who would offer you the shirt off his own back if you needed it. David amassed a lot of friendships over the years and loved meeting up and hanging out. His greatest joy, however, came from spending time with his beloved family whom he cherished deeply.

Preceding David in death were his parents and his brother, Ronald (Linda) Barrow.

Those left surviving to carry on David’s memory include his one true love and mother of his children, Linda Barrow; caring daughters, Nikki (James) Hoffman and Holly (Randy) Murphy; sister, Patty Smith; brother, Jeffrey Barrow; grandchildren, Samuel Barrow, Emily Warren, Logan Snider, Kailee Murphy, Kaidence Murphy, Levi Murphy, and Kenzie Murphy; as well as many other relatives and close friends who are now emptier upon his sudden passing.

A visitation celebrating David’s life will be held from 10:00 Am until 12:00 PM on Friday, May 17, 2024, at Floral Hills Funeral Home, 5336 Old Taylor Mill Road, Taylor Mill, KY 41015. A funeral service will immediately follow at 12:00 PM at the funeral home. David will then be laid to rest at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
