Harold Bohnert

Harold Chester Bohnert, age 87, died peacefully at home surrounded by Family on Wednesday November 24th, 2021. Harold was born on June 10th 1934 to Preston and Alma Bohnert in Morris Pa. Harold began working on the farm at the humble age of 10 years old. Over the years Harold worked on several farms and ran a nursing home until settling in to his final profession as a plumber, retiring in 2005 from Eckler plumbing.
Harold was preceded in death by the love of his life and wife of 46 years Dorothy Lee Bohnert. Harold fathered 5 children with Betty Bohnert,  until lovingly accepting 5 more into his life. Through his 10 kids, he was blessed with 21 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren. Harold was a man that found joy in the simple things in life such as bird-watching, yard work and keeping the Sabbath holy along with his friends and family.  He impacted every person he met by displaying outstanding character and a kindness fueled by love and faith. Harold took much pride in his faith and was a devoted member of the Seventh day Adventist from birth until the day he passed. He showed his faith in all that he did and was a great example of what a Christian man should be. He will be greatly missed and forever appreciated for passing on his love, His wisdom and His Faith.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, November 29, 2021, where friends may call Monday from 12PM until the time of the services.  The services will be livestreamed.
