Hubert Clayton

Hubert Paul Clayton, 89, of Florence, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2022, at home.  He was born July 14, 1932, in Forster, Kentucky, a son of the late Hillary T. and Pearlina Poe Clayton.  He was a member of First Church of Christ in Burlington, a Korea Army Veteran serving 18 months in Germany, a Kentucky Colonel and was retired from TANK with 40 years of service.  He was married June 1, 1957, to Gloria Jean Bowen Clayton, who survives.  Also surviving are his daughter, Dianna Lynn Phillips (Terry); two grandchildren,  two great-grandchildren and numerous brothers and sisters.  Funeral services will be held 12:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at Floral Hills Funeral Home, where friends may call from 10-12 P.M.  Burial to follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens with military graveside rites.  Memorial contributions to American Cancer Society.
