James Carl Butcher, 78, of Taylor Mill, passed from this life Wednesday, September 28, 2022, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. July 17, 2022.   Jim was born May 6, 1944, in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, to the late James W. and Mary Louise Butcher.  He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Carol Sue, his devoted son, James Rhett Butcher, his sister, Shirlee Reeves; sister in law Shirley Seifer, niece Debbie Seifer, nephews Paul Frazier and Scott Frazier; great and grand nieces and nephews, life long friend James Green who has been a constant supporter for Jim and family during this critical time.  He was preceded in death by a niece, Samantha Baynum.  Jim was a Vietnam Army Veteran, member of Ft. Thomas Masonic Lodge #808, Scottish Rite of Covington, Syrian Temple of Cincinnati; a Kentucky Colonel; and a member of the Fort Mitchell Baptist Church.  He was employed by the Ashland Chemical Company for 22 years and employed by Jeff Wyler Honda.  Funeral services will be held 7PM Saturday, October 8, 2022, at Floral Hills Funeral Home, where visitation will be held Saturday from 4-7 PM. Masonic rites will be conducted by the Ft. Thomas Masonic Lodge at 6:30 PM.  Interment will be private at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
