Newport

Judy Linton Porter passed away peacefully at her home on September 13, 2024, in Newport, Kentucky. Born September 30, 1949, in Houston, Texas.

Judy was a devoted Mother and cherished friend, who had a vibrant spirit and zest for life. She touched the hearts of many throughout her journey.

At an early age, she developed an unwavering passion for art; whether it was a breathtaking landscape or an imaginative piece that danced with color and excitement, she found solace in watching movies, sharing stories, laughter, and spending time with family because family was at the core of her heart.

Judy is survived by her loving children, Gerald Cottle (Melani), Kimberly Brian (Travis), Carolyn Ince (James), Samuel Porter II (Denise), and Dewanna Hornback. Brother Jay D Linton and Sister Joyce Bodle whose companionship added laughter and warmth to her everyday life. Together, they forged bonds and created shared memories that will forever linger in the hearts of their family.

Judy was selfless, nurturing and dedicated to her family, friends, and always put those she loved first. She provided unwavering love and support, encouraging them to chase their dreams while always providing a safe haven in her arms.

The light she brought into their lives only grew stronger with the arrival of 10 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren, who will forever cherish her loving spirit and the memories they created together.

She was preceded in death by her Mother Edna Davis, Father JD Linton, Husband Samuel G. Porter Brother Clint Davis, and Great-Grandchild Raylon.

A visitation will be held in Celebration of Judy's life Friday, September 20, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a Memorial Service at 1:00 PM. Both events will take place at Floral Hills Funeral Home: Chapel A, located at 5336 Old Taylor Mill Road, Covington, KY, 41015.
