Kosta Kalfas,

Age 85 of Newport, Kentucky passed away on Monday, October 18, 2021. He was born in Tenedos, Greece and served in the Greek Navy. During his time in the Navy Kosta was stationed in Boston. He made his way to Newport, Kentucky where he met and married his beloved wife Jean, who preceded him in death in 2014. Kosta enjoyed watching the Cincinnati Reds, Cincinnati Bengals, UK Wildcats and bowling. Kosta prided himself with the love of his family and enjoyed every minute spent with them. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Riga and Shelly Kalfas; grandchildren Tyler (Alexis) Kalfas and Amanda (Jay) Cheiftain; great grandchildren Brantley, Ava and James; sister Eve Vergos; many extended family members and friends. A Visitation will be held at Floral Hills Funeral Home on Thursday, October 21, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will immediately follow in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. Floral Hills Funeral Home is honored to service Kosta’s family.
