Michael Thomas DeMoss

Michael "Mike" Thomas DeMoss, of Edgewood, Kentucky and beloved by all who knew him, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 17, 2023. Born in Covington, KY, on July 29th, 1958, Mike was the cherished son of Fenton "Tom" DeMoss, who preceded him in death, and Clara Vieth (formerly DeMoss).

A testament to his love and dedication as a father, Mike frequently took his sons, Michael and Matthew, with him wherever he ventured. They were his pride and joy, sharing countless adventures together.

While Mike's affection for his family was evident, he had a heart expansive enough to embrace countless friends. Treating them with the same warmth and love, especially those without the comfort of their own families. Many found in Mike a true confidant, a friend who never passed judgment or offered criticism. The memories shared with Mike will forever remain a cherished secret, held close to the hearts of those fortunate to call him a friend.

He is survived by his loving wife, Beverly J. DeMoss; his sister, Terri (Keelan) Cooke; his twin sons, Michael (Abbey) and Matthew DeMoss; his daughters, Michelle (Scott) Taylor and Colleen Mergard. He also leaves behind his nieces, Kristin (Aaron) Kite and Shelly Cooke (Paige) Bolin. His legacy will continue to inspire his grandchildren: Anna Marie, Kennedy, Emma, Tyler, James, Finn, Jude, Lucy, John, Zachary, and Madison. Furthermore, his memory will be cherished by his great-grandchildren: Isiah, Ellie, and Izzy.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones for a visitation on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at Floral Hills Funeral Home from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM, at which time a funeral service will honor Mike's remarkable life.

The DeMoss family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Mike's honor to the St. Elizabeth Hospice Center in Edgewood.
