Rosetta (Rosie) Mae Murphy of Covington, Kentucky passed away Tuesday October 26,2021 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood at the age of 74. She was born and raised in Hillsboro, Ohio until she moved to Covington, Kentucky, around the age of 30. Rosetta worked at Holiday Inn for 18 years and retired from there. She enjoyed watching her sitcom shows, like Golden Girls, Sandford and Sons and All in the Family. Rosetta loved to spend time with her family and have cook outs.

Rosetta was preceded in death by her parents, Minnie Mae Jackson and Elijah Alton Beekman. She is also preceded in death by her ex-husband John Murphy; children John Edward Murphy and Priscilla Lynn Murphy; brothers Johnny Beekman, Tommy Beekman, Bobby Beekman, and George Jackson.

She is survived by her loving daughter Janice Marie Jones; sisters Clara Eilerman, Nancy Powell, Judy and Betty Este; brother Leroy Beekman; grandchildren Jeremy Ballein, Aaron Cloud, Tabitha Brown, Ashley Jones, Maranda Jones, Samantha Jones, Desiree Murphy, and William Murphy; great grandchildren, Teddy and Chase, Joseph Robinson, Logan Robinson, Emma Eccles, Leighah Jones, Phoebe Jones, Riley Cloud, Aiden Cloud, Jeremy Isaiah Kingston Ballein and Miakiley Ballein.

A gathering for Family and Friends to honor her life will be held on Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at the Fireman Hall on Howell Street in Covington 10am until 3pm.
