Gary Marvin Sutton, 71, passed away unexpectedly in his home on May 14th, 2020.

He was born on November 17, 1948 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Covington, KY, he was the beloved son of the late Marvin and Eva Bea (Ryder) Sutton. He was the youngest of 3 siblings, the only brother to loving sisters Janet Jackson and Judy Smith.

He attended Boone County High School before enlisting in the United States Marine Corps. He held multiple titles and many duties during his service from 1965-1976, including stations in Camp Pendleton, Chicago, Okinawa, and a tour in the Vietnam War, in which he was seriously wounded, but returned home safely. After his honorable discharge, he remained in Southern California until moving his family back to Northern Kentucky in 1983.

Gary is survived by his son, Trevor Sutton, his daughter, Desiree Lucas, his sister Janet Jackson, his niece Shannon Cummings, his nephew, Mark Hafer, as well as many other loving family members.

The family believes that when someone passes, their life does not end, but rather changes. We know Gary has reached a place of eternal peace alongside his family and friends with him. While we grieve our loss, with our grief comes hope that he is finally at peace.
